Italian Hospital, Jerusalem, Palestine (1911)

Description

The building is realised in Gothic style mixed with Middle Age style and remind to the public palace of piazza del Campo in Siena (Italy). The bell tower is a copy of the Mangia tower in Siena (Italy). The facade is adorned with polychrome decorations tiled with majolica by the florentine Cantagalli firm. Destroyed during the first world war it was rebuilted as the original project.
