Girls’ academy, Benghazi, Libya (1926)

Description

The building is located in the Ghreibil district in the city center. The design of the building is by Carlo Buscaglione but it was approved by Marcello Piacentini who was the project manager of all the italian building works in Cyrenaica. The style of the building is oriental in character. On the facade there are arcades who introduce to shops at the ground floor. The facade on the public garden has a big frame which marks the entrance. The picture shows the building almost completed.
