Kantara Bridge (glass negative), Kantara (Suez Canal), Egypt (1917)

Description

The bridge was constructed to allow the railway connection between Egypt, Palestina and Syria but was quickly destroyed. It was 163,685 m. long and composed of two swing spans. The first one allowing shipping to the big boats and the second one to the smallest
