The caption at the back of the picture mentions that M. J. Darmi who is standing in the staircase, has built the building where the Hennebique engineer A. George lives at the following address: 14 Yuksek Kalderim, Galata. During an earthquake, M. George has been able to measure the resistance of the concrete reinforced pillars.
